Tragically, the Klanott family has met with serious illness. Rob has been diagnosed with AML (leukemia). We are confident he will recover, but it is going to take a great deal of time and energy. Leukemia is a highly aggressive blood cancer. It requires aggressive treatment as rapid as he can receive it. We have been trying to keep up, but his health requires traveling. Since we live a small town in Alaska, we are gone for months at a time. Upon coming home Rob is ill and weak not able to make soap. Likewise, I am his caregiver and this means I am his nurse when at home, travel with him to provide care during treatments and when possible work outside the home to support us. When funding allows and a donor is found, Rob will be going through a bone marrow transplant. Recovery will be extensive and we will actually be in Seattle for up to 4 months. We are no longer able to manufacture our soaps on a business level. We'll be in the hospital for the holiday season. We will not be able to process orders. We are not giving up our business, but we do have to put it aside for the time being. Thank-you so much for your understanding and your support. Everyone has been very generous in your help. Have a wonderful Holiday and a wonderful New Year! We'll be with you again soon. Sincerely, The Klanott Family
